Sandrine Sleiman studied sociology at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium. After working for the European Commission for 3 years on issues related to Science and Technology, she started her career in the field of drugs monitoring in Belgium. First, she worked in a local monitoring centre and then for the national observatory on drugs (BMCDDA) located at the Scientific Institute of Public Health. She was in charge of the Belgian national report on drugs.
In 2006, she joined the Reitox Unit and international cooperation at EMCDDA as Quality Assurance and Scientific Officer. She coordinates activities on quality assurance, and projects in the framework of EMCDDA technical cooperation with non EU-countries.
