Annemie Coone

Annemie Coone has a Master in Criminology and Bachelor in Social Work. She teaches, amongst other courses, 'prevention in health care' and 'research in Social work' at the University College of Ghent - Belgium. She is also involved in research at this institute. She is a formal interregional drug- and alcohol prevention worker. She is and was involved in several European projects. Since the beginning of 2017 she is the project manager of the UPC-Adapt (Universal Prevention Curriculum) project. This project aims to develop a European prevention curriculum based on the international expertise of several institutes, together with the European drug prevention quality standards and the UNODC's international prevention standards. The outcome of the project is to design a training for NGO's, a course in the academic setting and an online module. Annemie Coone is the head trainer for the NGO-training in Belgium.
